Cushion Stitch

Getting Harder

Uses:  Clothing, Borders (one or two rows), Backgrounds, Buildings

Lay the long black lines first.  When you have finished this, work a diagonal row of Scotch in one direction.  (Either red or yellow sets of stitches)  To complete the pattern, fill in with the other set of Scotch.

Because the cushions are slightly padded, the pattern has a raised effect.

This stitch count is accepted for Master Craftsman for Canvas Embroidery by The Embroiderers' Guild of America.
