Uses: Hair, Buildings (turn graph 90 degress), Clothing, Backgrounds, Hills, Clouds,
Foliage
To stitch, start on the left of the area which you would like to cover. Make the first stitch and skip the next canvas thread. (dark stitches) Repeat the process until you have reached the end of the row. When you have completed this, return to the other side by repeating the process.
This stitch count is accepted for Master Craftsman for Canvas Embroidery by The Embroiderers' Guild of America.
Brick Variation
The variation for Brick is achieved by changing the colors to create stripes. To stitch this, work the blue lines in a zigzag fashion traveling left to right. Simply skip two canvas threads and work back to the other side. Fill in with the red lines.
This stitch is great for fields, mountains and other simular objects.
