Buttonhole Flowers Stitch

Getting Harder

Uses:  Flowers, Silly Eyes, Details

Take a knitting needle and wrap the thread around it four times.  Carefully, slide the thread off the needle and then work buttonhole stitches around the loop.

When you have reached the complete circle, draw the thread to the back side of the canvas by inserting the needle into the loop that makes the first Buttonhole stitch.

To attach the flower, stitch under the circle and over the top of the canvas.

The size of the flower depends upon the size of the knitting needle.  Also, how many wraps, strands and size of the thread will change the size of your flower.  The best way to determine what size you would like to create is to experiment with your threads and knitting needles.
